Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer. This role is pivotal in architecting, implementing, and optimizing BoomerangFX’s multi-cloud infrastructure to support scalable, high-performing applications that serve our customers. With a primary focus on Azure, this role also entails working within GCP, AWS, and API management, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure stability, security, and efficiency in our cloud-based operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage cloud solutions across Azure (primary), GCP, and AWS, ensuring alignment with BoomerangFX’s objectives and scalability needs.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Utilize Azure DevOps to maintain, optimize, and deploy robust continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, ensuring efficient and error-free delivery processes.
• API Gateway Management: Configure and maintain API Gateways, guaranteeing secure and efficient handling of API traffic, essential for seamless integration with external platforms and applications.
• Collaboration and Innovation: Work closely with development teams to deploy and refine infrastructure solutions. Act as a liaison between development and IT teams to implement innovative technologies and optimize performance.
• Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Implement effective monitoring systems to track infrastructure performance, quickly troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to enhance stability, scalability, and performance.
• Automation: Champion automation initiatives for infrastructure processes to boost efficiency and reduce manual workload, with a focus on repeatability and reliability.
• Evaluation and Recommendation: Proactively research and evaluate new tools, technologies, and practices to improve infrastructure and operational workflows, advising on best-fit solutions.
• Security Compliance: Ensure all configurations and deployments adhere to industry security standards and best practices, supporting BoomerangFX’s commitment to data security and compliance.
• Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure designs, configurations, and operational procedures, enabling knowledge sharing and continuity within the team.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience: 6+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps and cloud infrastructure management, with extensive expertise in Azure and familiarity with GCP, AWS, and API Gateways.

Technical Skills

• Cloud Expertise: Advanced skills in Azure, with a strong grasp of GCP and AWS for diverse infrastructure support.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Proficiency in Azure DevOps for building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Automation & Scripting: Strong experience with infrastructure automation tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible).
• API Gateway Configuration: Proven experience managing API Gateways for secure, optimized API traffic flow.
• Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with monitoring tools and performance troubleshooting.
• Soft Skills: Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and support various development teams. Problem-solving mindset and a strong focus on security and compliance.
• Terraform Expertise: Proven experience writing and managing Terraform scripts for greenfield cloud infrastructure projects.
