Position Overview
Reporting to the CEO and collaborating with senior leaders across the organization, the Senior Manager of Operations and HR will oversee 30-70 concurrent projects, demonstrating exceptional time management skills to ensure seamless execution. This role involves implementing HR policies and procedures, managing general operations, and providing leadership to office employees. A results-oriented leader with strong operational expertise, problem-solving capabilities, and a deep understanding of organizational needs, the Senior Manager of Operations and HR will optimize processes and drive scalability while fostering an efficient and productive workplace.
Scope of Duties
- Operational Leadership- Oversee key operational processes across technology, marketing, recruitment, and implementation, ensuring alignment with BoomerangFX’s strategic growth objectives and global expansion plans.
- Budgeting and Cost Management: Work closely with finance and operations teams to define budgets, track expenses, and ensure operational efficiency within financial targets.
- Project Management- Manage 30-70 concurrent projects, addressing roadblocks and ensuring timely completion while providing weekly updates to senior leadership on progress, challenges, and KPIs.
- Process Optimization- Identify and implement improvements in operational workflows to enhance efficiency, scalability, and cross-functional collaboration.
- HR Policy Implementation- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures, ensuring legal compliance across all regions of operation, including Canada, the U.S., and international markets.
- Payroll and Benefits Administration- Oversee payroll and benefits processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in delivering employee compensation and support services.
- Employee Relations and Support- Act as the primary contact for HR inquiries, complaints, and conflict resolution, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Performance Metrics- Develop and monitor operational dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress, inform decision-making, and ensure accountability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration- Partner with global teams across offices in Toronto, Miami, Las Vegas, the UK, Australia, and Barbados to align operations and resources with company objectives.Risk Management and Compliance- Identify operational and HR risks, implementing strategies to mitigate them while ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
- Team Development and IPO Readiness- Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation, supporting leadership in preparing for IPO readiness by building scalable and resilient operational and HR processes.
- Vendor and Supplier Relationships: Build and manage relationships with key vendors and suppliers to ensure the company has the resources needed to scale operations efficiently.
What You Offer
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Human Resources, or a related field; advanced certifications or MBA preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years of leadership in operations and HR, ideally in high-growth or rapidly scaling organizations.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, implement operational improvements, and drive organizational change with a hands-on approach.
- Project Management: 5+ years managing complex projects and day-to-day tasks, focusing on deadlines, cost efficiency, and results.
- HR Expertise: Strong knowledge of HR policies, payroll, benefits, and compliance across Canada, the U.S., and international markets.
- Communication: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills to influence leaders and engage diverse teams.
- Analytical Skills: Proficient in analyzing metrics, implementing KPIs, and driving accountability to meet goals.
- Adaptability: Resilient self-starter with a track record of solving complex problems and leading through growth and transformation.
